Location: Seattle, WA     Size: 150,000 sf / 5 floors

The global hospitality and cruise line company, Holland America Group, consolidated staff from three facilities into their new headquarters as sole office tenants of the new Third & Harrison speculative office building in Seattle, WA. SkB Architects designed the 150,000 sf facility to unify three separate brands, to encourage collaboration and to increase communication between previously siloed departments. The transition to an all open office work environment was supported by a robust variety of technology rich meeting and social gathering spaces. A five-story atrium and internal stair connect the floors. The dramatic atrium features port hole elements, a water feature and catwalks along the window wall. The work space emphasizes staff access to daylight and views to Puget Sound, where Holland America cruise ships often dock. The space is topped with a cafeteria and roof deck.
