Ben Bridge Jewelers
Fine jewelry stores have traditionally put a counter between the customer and the collection. Ben Bridge Jeweler starts by removing that barrier. Research into how people browse, consult, and engage with jewelry shaped a more open interior, with suspended vitrines, workshop tables, and specialized display cases offering different ways to encounter the collection. The Alchemy Lab and Diamond Bar add places for more focused conversations, turning a familiar retail format into something less prescribed.
The project received a 2019 IIDA InAwards InRetail Honorable Mention and was named VMSD’s 2019 Retail Renovation of the Year.

An open storefront places fine jewelry display directly at the perimeter, extending visibility into the retail interior.
Linear display cases organize the sales floor while preserving clear sightlines across the jewelry showroom.
The glass enclosed watchmaker studio makes specialized craft and service visible within the retail environment.
Blackened metal framing defines the watchmaker studio and adjoining jewelry displays as a distinct zone within the store.
Suspended vitrines establish a strong architectural edge while maintaining visual continuity between the storefront and interior.
Custom suspended vitrines combine integrated lighting, patterned metal screens and glass enclosures for focused jewelry presentation.
The vitrines frame individual pieces at the storefront, using repetition and transparency to connect display with activity beyond.
A varied system of curved and linear cases supports multiple modes of jewelry display, browsing and customer consultation.
