SkB Architects Partners Serve as Guest Critics and Jurors at Cornish College of the Arts
SkB Architects Founding Partners Shannon Gaffney and Kyle Gaffney serve as guest critics and jurors at Cornish College of the Arts in Seattle, bringing the perspective of professional design practice into dialogue with the next generation of designers.
SkB Architects Founding Partners Shannon and Kyle Gaffney contribute to design education in Seattle through their participation as guest critics and jurors at Cornish College of the Arts. Their involvement creates a direct exchange between professional practice and emerging designers, connecting ideas explored in the classroom with the realities and opportunities of the built environment.
Critique is an important part of the design process at SkB Architects. At Cornish, Shannon and Kyle engage students in conversation around ideas, context, experimentation, and the decisions that shape meaningful design—offering perspective while making space for new ways of thinking.
These exchanges reflect SkB Architects’ broader commitment to design culture beyond the studio. Through education, mentorship, juries, exhibitions, research, and dialogue, the firm contributes to the creative community in Seattle and to the ongoing conversation around architecture, interiors, and the built environment.
