Shannon Gaffney Keynotes AIA Dallas Empowering Conference

SkB Architects founding partner Shannon Gaffney was invited to keynote the AIA Dallas EMPOWERING Conference, joining an ongoing conversation about design, practice, and leadership within the architecture profession.

Founded by AIA Dallas Women in Architecture, EMPOWERING brings architects and designers together around professional leadership, mentorship, and the forces shaping architectural practice. The conference has grown to include the organization’s Emerging Professionals and Latinos in Architecture networks, extending that conversation across different generations and experiences within the profession.

Gaffney is part of a group of past keynote speakers that includes Marlon Blackwell, Pascale Sablan, Kim Yao, Gabriela Carrillo, Michael Ford, and Carol Ross Barney.

Speaking and participating in professional forums is one way the questions encountered in practice travel beyond the studio. It puts experience into conversation with other architects and designers, while bringing different perspectives on leadership and practice back into the work.
