We do not arrive with the answer. We look for the one that belongs. The sketches and models alongside the finished work show that search in motion. They reveal how an idea is pursued and sharpened until it stops being a possibility and starts being a place.
Gamer HQ
Located on the eastern shoreline of Lake Whatcom in northwest Washington State. Designed for a couple who are equal parts technology and nature, digital and analog, city and country, this single-family residence is an investigation of harmonies and contrasts that takes its cues from these two personalities (and one dog named Lemmy), while shaped by the influences of site, and an ardent desire for durability and sustainability.
