People always have a choice about where they spend their time. SkB Architects has spent decades designing hotels, spas, wineries, tasting rooms, restaurants, bars, coffee shops, and destinations that give them a reason to visit, stay, and return.
We notice what happens from the moment someone arrives: where they settle, what draws them through a space, how a room changes from morning to night, and what becomes part of the memory they take with them. That attention has become fundamental to our work. It informs hospitality and reaches beyond it, bringing a deeper understanding of choice, comfort, belonging, and memory to workplaces, homes, retail, and civic spaces.
SkB Architects renovated Inn at the Market, a boutique hotel in Seattle's Pike Place Market, including guest rooms, suites, lobby and public spaces.
Located in the heart of downtown Seattle, just blocks from pike place market, US Bank Center was reimagined to support new retail models and create a vibrant gathering space. Honoring the building’s public access commitments, the transformation redefined its atrium, corridors, and lobby—turning a once grand, yet impersonal space into a dynamic, publicly accessible hub for work and social connection.
